This week I have surpassed the 1000 points of reputation in StackOverflow. I know, I know, it's a vanity metric, but... I feel like I've progressed a lot in web development during the last 5 years. The increase in reputation is a measure of this progress (I guess).
I've been using StackOverflow since circa 2014 but started to participate 2 years and 5 months ago. At first, it felt scary, because sometimes programmers can be harsh with someone else's code, but the reality is that I've felt very welcomed since day one.
As a programmer, it feels good to know that perhaps your lines are included in bigger projects. What if part of these lines are written in one of those projects that change the world? There is no way of knowing.
Hi, I'm Erik, an engineer from Barcelona. If you like the post or have any comments, say hi.
