Ephimeral

Viviralmaximo is shutting down. Today in the morning, I visited the site by random circumstances, and I was shocked. I've been following Angel for so many years... He has become like a friend who I've never met. I have the same feeling with some writers, and with some forums where I consume rather than participate. There is something about how people write, that gives you hints about how well you would match in real life.

Sometimes, I think that it should exist an app similar to Tinder, but on the opposite side of the spectrum. It would be nice if you could befriend people depending on their writings, rather than their looks. Physical attraction is crucial, but I wonder how many relationships are lost because of external factors. I have a friend who always talks about those women who doesn't find appealing at first sight, but her personality makes her very attractive over time. Appearance is a short-term shot, and personality is betting for the long run. Some good-looking women become monsters after you know their real personalities. The example applies obviously to men as well.

Anyway, he and Bosco Soler were guilty of me quitting consultancy and going to travel to Southeast Asia. I'm grateful for it because I could meet Jaruwan, create and experience new ways of living, and overcome my hard time as a consultant. If I've continued working in banking, I would be dead at this point. And I'm not joking.

I have mixed feelings for Angel. On the one side, I wish he could work at his site ad infinitum. On the other side, it means that he'll find new paths and opportunities. Angel is very talented, let's see how he can surprise us. Thank you for everything, Angel.
